Weeping Willow
my love left me; i await his return
our room candlelit, incense burning
creates flames of passion
i recollect memories of love filled nights
like a sailors wife,
await my love's return
through dawn and dusk
on the widows walk,
overlooking a vicious blue sea
that comes to tempt and capture me
lusting, loving he doesn't return
solemn music makes me yearn
pictures surround me, passion in glimpses
through an unfocused lens
making me linger within fond memories
of tranquil walks along the shore
discovering seashells from the sandy floor
musky cologne filling the room
tears filling my brown
love-seeking eyes,
gusty winds call his name,
aged pillow, blankets he became part of
caressing me before he left
dampened each night in his absence
an ancient willow tree hovers outside
my window weeping
an old woman bends, arms flailing
i cry under a misty moon waning now, yet
never leaving me
aroused at dawn by love's embrace.
