In our house, all traditions are respected,
And Thanksgiving is one of these we follow,
While sitting at the table, we reflected,
How the wine was good, and glasses hollow.
The cheer around the table was contagious
As we tucked into our turkey, and we ate,
Amounts of food that others find outragious
All neatly piled upon a china plate.
We did the toasts to friends in far off places,
And shared the joys of Thanks for all our friends,
With smiles and laughter on our cheery faces,
At a festive time, when all folks make amends.
Then clearing up the dishes from the table,
We shared a joke, amid the hugs and kissing,
And doing all the chores that we were able,
Remembered something quite important missing.
The Cranberry, we'd clearly all forgotten,
That reddish sauce that makes the food taste great,
And in our haste, it made us feel quite rotten,
That the little pot sat in a lonely state.
And then we all remembered that tomorrow,
Would be another day, with no remorse.
When we could eat the turkey left from dinner,
And serve it up with scrumptious spoons of sauce.

I wanted to help,
But what could

Cranberry Fish
I opened a can of cranberry sauce
and emptied it onto a dish.
It fell with a plop and wiggled a lot
like some
They call you sauce, but you look like jello to me.
A pretty red color and oh-so- wiggly.
Smeared on turkey you are delicious,
On the Thanksgiving table
The cranberry sauce was gleaming
Feigning modesty near
Mashed potatoes steaming.
The buttery green
