There really are many ways to learning guitar, such as tabletures, youtube, and formal guitar lessons. Although there are many ways to learn guitar only one is the cheapest and most effective way to learn guitar. This method is youtube. Youtube is a free online video website, where you can browse just about any video ever made it seems like! What my favorite method is, is youtube. It is very easy to learn a song, chords, or rhythm lessons at my own home, at my own computer, at my own pace, and best of all for free! You do not need to buy or print anything, just go online to
www.youtube.com and search away! A good channel to look at is rockongoodpeople. This channel is packed with tons of free video lessons, from intermediate, to advanced and anything in between.
The second method is tabletures. Tabletures are basically pieces of sheet music that are specifically made for guitar. You can print them off from online on sites like www.ultimate-guitar.com Tabletures are a great resources but have a couple of cons. One con is that they can be difficult to read. Myself personally, I cannot read them. Another con is that you have to have a printer hooked up to your computer in order to print them out free. If you do not mind paying a little money, than going to a guitar store would be your best bet. Guitar stores have shelves have tableture booklets organized by an individual band, or music genre.
Next method is formal guitar lessons. Alhough, if you are looking for the cheapest method, this one is probably not for you. For some people, lessons can be very effective. For other like myself, they are not the way in which is best to learn. Guitar lessons from a teacher, can be expensive. Prices can vary from $10 to $30 per lesson, which certainly adds up. Although lessons can be expensive they are usually expensive. Teachers can pinpoint the exact things that you are struggling with in learning and fix it. Also, if you are struggling there is someone there in person you can talk to. For some this can be great.
The best way in finding out which method works best for you, is to experiment with different methods. Try lessons one week, or youtube the next. Everyone learns differently, so try different ways of learning.
