Spring blew into summer,
Then summer blended into fall.
I measured the days on my calendar.
See I forgot you.
Winter blustered on in
With a song and a cheer,
Christmas arrived, and no tears.
See I forgot you.
New years brought memories of loss
And new resolutions.
And maybe once again, hope.
And I forgot you.
