Poetry: I forgot you

by Rena Kay

Created on: November 08, 2009

Spring blew into summer,

Then summer blended into fall.

I measured the days on my calendar.

See I forgot you.

Winter blustered on in

With a song and a cheer,

Christmas arrived, and no tears.

See I forgot you.

New years brought memories of loss

And new resolutions.

And maybe once again, hope.

And I forgot you.
