Shoes

As is usual for most winters, the must have shoe style is a boot of some kind. There are lots of different trends on offer. For a start, the over the knee boot is one of the most popular styles. This takes the form of exotic looking leathers like ostrich and snakeskin, exterior pockets, tassels, studs, frills, patchwork, and folds and tucks. Belts are popular in all different widths, from wide corset styles, through to super skinny varieties. There are endless different types on offer from classic leather styles, through to styles decorated with studs, extra buckles, beads, touches of animal print and chains.The common thread is that they all generally focus on highlighting the waist.

Hats

There are lots of different hat styles in vogue. If you want to stick to something classic that will work winter after winter, try a basic beret, beanie or baker boy style. If you are keen to add a little more trendiness to your appearance fedoras and ear flap style beanies are a popular look.

Hosiery

Leg wear is quite detailed for winter 2009, with both leggings and regular stocking available in many different options. Some of the most popular looks include; lace, plaid, tie dye and different prints like flowers, spots and stars. Stirrups are also making a comeback, especially as part of a more youth oriented look. Hosiery is one of the most affordable ways to bring your look up to speed for winter 2009.

Other accessories

Scarves tend to be quite full looking, with snoods a popular look. Fur, or faux fur ear muffs and stoles add a glamorous touch and in the jewelry department multi strand necklaces and feminine, ornate pieces are back.
