As a person who loves to play Scrabble as well as Mahjong on the computer, I thought that WordJong would be a great app for me. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised by WordJong; it delivers everything that the developers say it would, and you can even try the game out for free.
WordJong is both fun and educational. If a child learns how to play this, he or she will undoubtedly increase the size of his/her vocabulary. Not only that, but children who initially learn through fun will continue to love accumulating knowledge and learning more as they get older! WordJong is basically a mixture of Scrabble and Mahjong. Instead of matching characters, the player has to try to make words. The better and bigger the words, the more points the player accumulates.
The graphics are great and gameplay is relatively smooth. The full version of WordJong only costs $2.99, but for that the developers have created a pretty good game that will become many people's favorites. Undoubtedly, this game could cost much more, especially since the graphics are characteristic of higher-priced games and the idea of the game itself is a good and interesting one.
I also enjoy the way the game encourages the player. There are many ways for the player to succeed in the game, from using bombs to awards. Some of the characters will say things like "Awesome" to root you forward. The player is also challenged by seven characters, each of whom has a distinct playing style.
This game will not get boring for a while. I also like that I can play this game whenever I have the spare time to do so; it does not take much effort to load it up, to save the game, to exit, and then restart again if needed and there are no bugs.
The only thing that the developers must do is to create more levels and make gameplay possibilities unending. There should be levels of advancement, from the beginner to the expert. This will make the game more accommodating to people from all levels of play.
All in all, I highly recommend WordJong. If you are unsure of whether or not you should purchase the app, the developers have made a free version for people to try. This game will keep me interested for hours on end, and it will probably become one of your favorites, too.
