Is the Bible outdated and irrelevant?

Asking if the bible is outdated or irrelevant is like asking if water or salt are irrelevant to the ocean. Furthermore, The Holy Bible can compete with other literary works on its technical merits but that is like defining a man by his shadow. Not only does The Holy Bible contain within it's pages the origins of man, but it also proclaims that we are sons and daughters of God. God the Heavenly Father made us in his image. This speaks to our divine potential and sets, for each of us, a standard and a pattern. Indeed, the scriptures testify of Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten son of our Heavenly Father. They testify of his life and ministry and reveal to us through this testimony the pattern of a perfect life. As we use our God protected agency and follow that pattern it will transform our hearts and allow us to see the infinite potential of every son or daughter of God. I testify that not only are the scriptures relevant today but they are more relevant than ever. With every day that passes the bar that is the requirement for human survival on this planet is raised. The only documents capable of offering us the inspiration, knowledge and wisdom to transcend that standard are the Holy Scriptures. The only further testimony I can offer you, if you have the intestinal fortitude to continue is the words of the scriptures themselves. So I humbly share with you several excerpts of the King James version of The Holy Bible and their meaning as I ask Are they relevant?

Many of you have heard and even memorized John 3:16 but have you ever read John 3:17 & 18. I testify that these words are true and relevant today and ever.

John Chapter 3 Verses 16-18

16 For God so loved the "world, that he gave his 'only begotten 'Son, that whosoever "believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world ; but that the world through him might be "saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned : but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)

Some other exciting, relevant and revealing verses in The New Testament are John 14:6 &15-17. Christ, speaking to his apostles, says:

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the away, the truth, and the life : no man cometh unto the Father, but by rne. (John 14:6)

15 If ye "love me, "keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and
