From the Magic 8 Ball to Mood Sense Lite, humans have always wanted to be able to tell what's behind someone's facade. Unfortunately, that desire will have to go on unfulfilled. Although the developers of Mood Sense Lite say that this app will be able to tell your moods from the touch of your finger on the screen, those articulations are incorrect.
There are some very good free apps for the iPhone, but Mood Sense Lite is unfortunately not one of them. Luckily, because these apps are free, the users lose nothing but their time. However, for some such as I, time is worth money, and even free apps can be frustrating because of that. At any rate, Mood Sense Lite is one of those applications that I half-expect to be not worth even its cost-free price. At first, I thought that it would be interesting to try. I have tried other "mood sensing" apps that did nothing at all, and perhaps I was being a little too liberal with Mood Sense Lite. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try simply because it was free.
The graphics are a little cute. They would be especially appealing to young children because they are so cartoonish. They do add a bit of whimsy to the app itself, but nothing more. And just because a cute animal is telling me the answer to my "question," does not mean that I would enjoy the app any more than I already do (or don't, for that matter).
At some point I knew that I had to try the mood sensing feature out. So, I touched it when I was feeling particularly bored, and I touched the screen and what does it say? "I am being polite and lovable." This is not what I was feeling at all, and it did not come even close. At that point, I just knew that this app was definitely not worth either my time or my money, and I was not going to upgrade the app (and pay 99 cents) for 8 more "podlingz."
If you want to entertain kids, then this would be the app to do it. But then again, some kids will not even like this app because it is boring and will only entertain them for about 2 or 3 minutes. It entertained me for less than one. It is safe to say that I do not recommend this app, even if it were free.
