It's like MySpace without the constant ads, like Face Book without all of the coeds trying to get dates, and like Craig's List without the constant worry of someone trying to kill you.

Silence

If you're a hyper-opinionated person you might have to deal with people constantly trying to tell you to keep quiet - no matter how right you feel you might be. Helium can give you a great place to voice your many views on issues without ever having to hear someone say "Would you just give it a rest, already?"

Money

While this shouldn't be the prime reason for joining Helium, it's one of the best. Aside from the daily earning, there are always exciting contests that can test the limits of your abilities, Marketplace offers that give you chances to get your work shown by real publishers, and many seasonal contests where the good people at Helium give rewards for anything from reviving dead titles, to just writing lots and lots of articles.

Helium is by far and away the best thing that has happened to the writing industry since the invention of the printing press. It's opened the industry to more than just New York Best Selling writers and Pulitzer Prize winners. It's opened the door to EVERYONE.
