Nobody's perfect...

If you're looking for perfection
please don't look my way
I'd let you down again and again
with faults I may display

You see I have a tendency
to make mistakes at times
My less than perfect history
knows plenty of those crimes

But there's no need to pity me
or try to make me fit
in a place I cannot fill
whichever way I sit

I'd rather simply be myself
and take my chances here
than be a disappointment
every time those flaws appear

So if perfection's what you're after
then you'd best go look elsewhere
I'm just another writer
with imperfect words to share...
