Well, to be quite honest, there are too many bands that I listen to, to be able to pick just one of my favorites. I mean, I listen to music that I can relate to, not because they are famous or because its what everyone is listening to, or because the members are hot, but because either the band/singer is singing about something that has happened to me and I can sit back and say
"I know exactlty how that feels"
Is it just me or are there times when you listen to a song, and it feels like the song that you are listening to, that the band knew you personally and wrote that song about you?
But having to choose one, there are 2 that it is a very hard toss up for me to decide. It is a tie between Linkin Park, and Senses Fail.
Linkin Park because their lyrics are deep. I'm sure we all have had the feeling where we are unwanted and that no matter what happens during any point and time, in the end it really wont matter, eventually people won't care or even remember what it was you did.
They have gone through so many changes as a band and breakups, that they still struggle through it to make amazing albums.
Senses Fail is because the show the teenage world that no matter how old you are, if you want to pursue something, and you put your mind to it, it can be done. All the members at this time, were all under the age of 20, the drummer, Dan, alone being the youngest at 15. They were a band for only 6months before they got signed to Drive Thru records.
After touring with their debut album " From the depths of Dreams", they released their new album, "Let it enfold you" under a new label, "Vagrant". Now most bands once they sign from label to label, their sound changes along with their attitude. Not this band, it all stood the same.
The members were growing up, going through family troubles, life and relationship problems. Then after touring with that album for awhile, they release their newest album, " still searching".
This album gives a new sound and taste from the band, which I have to say, is AMAZING! Buddy, the lead singer, has gone through all of life's struggles like depression, being alone, past memories of his family, going to psychologists, and all sorts of life things. In this album he gets his feelings out. Having quit drinking, he got his head on straight and made his decision to write better. I have to admit, this is by far my favorite CD from them, and the greatest CD i have owned in the longest time.
