What are the most luxurious destinations in the Caribbean. It is a tough question as is about destinations instead of just an individual property or resort. It also needs to have "most luxurious" clearly defined.

First is the definition of most luxurious. For the purpose of this article, luxurious will be defined as fancy, pampered and the place one can have most pleasurable and best vacation. A place were the people make you feel welcome, but also special and where they work on trying to assure that as many things will go as planned as possible. This means it has to be a high end tourist destination.

A destination means a whole area or, in most cases, an island. An individual home or even resort cam be extremely fancy and luxurious, but it is not really the "destination". A destination is comprised of several establishments. To be luxurious they should all work together to provide exceptional service and goods that will make the visitor feel that they got more than their money's worth! There are few truly luxurious destinations!

Contenders for most Luxurious destinations in the Caribbean would include St. Barth's, Nevis, and Mystique in the Grenadines. There are several other places that have luxurious properties, but not the whole destinations.

St. Barth's is the Caribbean equivalent of the French Rivera. Is is small, deluxe with excellent beaches and a lovely harbor filled with expensive yachts and restaurants that serve wonderful french wines. Anything available in the finest districts of France can be obtained in St. Barth's, but served by friendly Caribbean people.

Nevis is not as expensive as St. Barth's, but has excellent dining a, very friendly people with some beautiful terrain. There is a majestic mountain covered in rain forest and surrounded by lovely beaches. Is the service good? It has a 70% return rate amongst visitors, the Caribbean Hotel association considers 30% to be exceptional. People wouldn't come back to this difficult to find island if they didn't think it was worth their money!

Mystique is last and definitely one of the most luxurious in the Caribbean, but it is mostly private home and wealthy villas, stayed in by royalty and movie stars. That about says it all!

Most luxurious destinations in the Caribbean: St. Barth's, Nevis and Mystique. Which is the best/ That is a really debatable question, but this is about destinations, which is plural!
