"Arcanum Wings" is a blue enchantment spell printed as an uncommon for the Magic the Gathering expansion set known as "Future Sight." Arcanum Wings has an interesting ability in which entices a player to have a bunch of aura enchantments in his/her deck. In this respect, one can use this to bring out one aura enchantment after another. As long as you have blue mana and a bunch of aura enchantments, you could find use out of the Arcanum Wings.

The converted mana cost for Arcanum Wings is two. You are going to need one blue mana and one colorless mana to play Arcanum Wings and enchant a creature with it. For what Arcanum Wings can do, the two mana is well worth it. Keep in mind that Arcanum Wings is an enchantment spell. It simply means that Arcanum Wings is susceptible to anything and everything that affects enchantments. If you have a bunch of aura enchantments, you will definitely get much out of Arcanum Wings.

What does Arcanum Wings do in the first place?

Creatures enchanted with Arcanum Wings have the ability of Flying. If you attack with a creature enchanted with Arcanum Wings and your opponent has creatures with neither Flying nor Reach, then s/he is going to take combat damage. However, this is not the main ability of Arcanum Wings.

By paying one blue mana and two colorless mana to use the main ability of Arcanum Wings with is known as the Aura Swap. If paying that mana cost, you can swap aura enchantments. What this does is allow you to put Arcanum Wings back to your hand. In place, you get to play another aura enchantment from your hand without having to pay the mana cost. In this respect, you get to play a more expensive enchantment.

One example would be having Arcanum Wings on a creature while having a more expensive spell such as "Elder Mastery." You can swap Arcanum Wings with Elder Mastery. In this respect, you can put Arcanum Wings back into your hand and enchant a creature with Elder Mastery. In this respect, you have the means to bring out more expensive aura enchantments.

Overall, Arcanum Wings is a good way to bypass the high mana costs of other aura enchantments. To get the most out of Arcanum Wings, you would want to have a bunch of aura enchantments. By constantly playing and swapping Arcanum Wings, you can constantly bring out one interesting enchantment after another.
