Poetry: As the wind whispers

by Guadalupe Edwards

Created on: November 07, 2009   Last Updated: September 11, 2011

The day is breezy, all the birds are scrambling
singing to make their beautiful nest.
squirrel gathering seeds and nuts for the winters rest.
leaves are returning to the earth to make the soil rich.

All the birds chirp seem to be a higher pitch.
the wind whispers and whispers along.
The Radio stations are playing warm love songs.
Fire wood crackling in the fireplace.
whipped chocolate to put a smile on your face.

Winter is coming as the wind whispers.
And whispers along.
