Helium writers who want a few good opportunities to earn plenty of money will want to check out Helium's Marketplace. This is the place where many of the high-paying publishers congregate, and many Helium writers will find their niche and successfully make a lot of money. Marketplace is a great tool that should be used frequently, though some new Helium writers will think that Marketplace is daunting and a little intimidating. Here are a few tips and techniques for getting started in the Marketplace.

First, it is always a good idea to look through all of the offers that are available on Marketplace. Sometimes you will find offers that are good and will allow you to put your skills to good use, and at other times you may not find any articles to your liking. The key is to find a topic that interests you, or a topic in which you have expertise (or some knowledge). Writing in these topics will increase the chances of your article being chosen.

After you have found a topic (or two) that has caught your interest, you will need to read the guidelines which have been provided by the publisher. It is extremely important that you follow these guidelines, because they are the keys to your success. Articles which do not follow the guidelines closely will not even be considered. To help you follow these guidelines more easily, you can use a word processor. Copy and paste the guidelines to the word processor. Separate each guideline by bullets. Write your article in this manner by writing the information after each bullet, or you may use the bullets to create an outline of your article.

Once you have finished writing your article, reread it at least once aloud. Reading your writing aloud allows you to hear the nuances that may otherwise be skimmed over when you read the article silently. Make sure that the punctuation, grammar, and spelling are correct and that you have followed the guidelines to a "t." You should also have made your writing style apparent in the article; many publishers want articles that "speak to the public" and that also have distinctive style.

You may find that after writing one article for the Helium Marketplace, writing other articles for Marketplace will become easier. As you can see, the only difficulty you will encounter is getting over the first step of writing that first Marketplace article.
