The first thing to do, if you are planning on buying a NASCAR related Christmas present, is to find out which driver the recipient of your gift likes. You are probably familiar with his choice of driver, but better make sure. Men and women often support more than one driver but have a favourite.

Once you have established who he/she supports, the easiest thing to do is to go to

www.nascar.com and click on the 'Shop' button on the top toolbar. From the dropdown menu, click on 'Shop by Driver'. An alphabetical list of all drivers will appear for you to choose from.

There is something for everybody. You can shop by clicking on:

- Men

- Women

- Kids

You can also shop by category. In the category section you can chose from:

Car Accessories, collectibles, custom shop, DVD's, die-cast cars, flags, footwear, hats, items for the home or office, jackets, T-shirts, tailgating, toys and jewelry.

The quality of the NASCAR clothing is excellent. The shirts, jackets and other items are cut from a durable cloth, sponsor badges are safely secured and the embroidery is impeccable.

Alternatively, you can visit a hobby store and pick up a die-cast car of your favourite driver or a miniature car. Such hobby stores also hold other NASCAR memorabilia. Items such as: autographed photos, posters, playing cards, puzzles, drinking glasses, blankets, etc.

The sponsors of the drivers are usually large retailers, stores such as Office Depot, Lowes and Home Depot. If you are not sure what to give a NASCAR fan, you could opt for a gift card.

If you have a handy man in the family, Cobalt tools will be well received. Cobalt tools are NASCAR approved and sure to delight someone who loves to fix things around the house and having the right tools to do it with.

Perhaps your NASCAR enthusiast would like some NASCAR approved car parts. In that case take a trip to the local Napa store. From wiper blades to fuel filters or headlights, Napa is sure to have it.

Then again, maybe the man or woman in our life would like to attend a NASCAR race in person. In that case, tickets to any of the races can be bought on-line. With twenty nine tracks in the United States and one in Canada, you're bound to find a track within travel distance.

For a little extra you can even get passes to meet the drivers, get their autograph or have your picture taken with them.

Whatever you decide, buying something NASCAR related is money well spend and will delight the receiver.
