Secret
You shared your darkest secret;
offered it up-a gift
to me.
Your misery
strikes me to paralysis;
I am unable to move
from the intimate horror
of your offering.
You've torn through
demolishing the clever door I closed

though it burns my lips,
choking all sound
from my throat.
My desire dwells
no longer in the depths
of my own past; it is you.
