This life was given just to me to deal with as I choose
I never asked another soul to walk in my life's shoes
There is no blame to pass around, no faulting someone else
Whatever good or bad I've done, I've done it by myself
The life I've lead I've led alone and no one showed me how
It doesn't seem quite fair to them to start a blame game now
The pains I've suffered were mine to bear, I know I faced them all
I tried to pick myself back up each time that I would fall
And though its not been easy to live a life like mine
My soul was ever lifted by a shadow most divine
So on I live, my head held high, my spirit undiminished
I'll live and love and carry on until my life is finished
