Rationalists versus empiricists: The question of innate ideas

According to the, Rationalists and Priori Knowledge, the Empiricist John Locke compared the mind of a newly born baby, in which he called tabula rasa. The phrase tabula rasa was considered a blank slate, which was described to be transparent to a newborn baby. In other words, it is a vacant mind waiting for downloads of data to the memory. This is how people begin to perceive the world.

Tabula Rasa is a significant medical analysis, because John Locke describes how we become habituated to the way of life. I think this topic is helping me understand how we learn and why we are who we are as individuals. For instance, language is a diverse dialogue and we learn different languages derived from our culture. My inductive reasoning on this topic is factual, based on the article about Rationalist and Priori Knowledge. The fact that John Locke had the knowledge, skills, and ability; he convinced and persuaded people that his analysis was true. He was a true empiricist.

The fact that we are from many different cultures and backgrounds, we are unusual in-kind and this makes his analogy factual. Since John Locke is an empiricist, his statements are an observation of his experimentation with newborn babies. However, if he was a rationalist, like the ancient Greek thinker, Plato, I would have to challenge his philosophy. The rationalist have a regimental thought process, that all should be in uniformity in relationship to sense impressions.

Knowledge is often referred to as power. It's true in a sense when you consider the philosophical side of analogies and analytical thinking approaches. Readers, motivational speakers and industry leaders have a great interest in the science of philosophy. The fictitious analysis is that wisdom is power. Wisdom is primarily knowledge, but it is the collection of facts and analysis that determine one's prudence on specific topics. Wisdom is the act of good judgment in conjunction to your knowledge, skills and abilities.

Facts and fictions have always created a debate in politics. Do we believe what we read or hear? Either way, a person must research and develop an understanding of what the theme depicts. For instance, white wine has less alcohol than red wine. This is an easy debate, because it creates a contest between what's right and wrong. The wine debate statement is a myth. However, research of wine history will educate a person on alcohol content in different types of wine. Theoretically, they have the same alcohol content.
