If you've ever had long hair, you know how versatile it can be. You can leave it long, pull some of it back off your face, or put the whole thing up on top of your head. Long hair is very sexy, easy to style, and lots of fun to have. It keeps you warmer in winter, while cooling you off when it's wet in the summer. You will probably never get bored wearing long hair, and bad hair days readily disappear in the bonds of a pony tail. Long hair is not only stylish, but very versatile.

*Stays clean for longer periods of time: Long hair has a way of staying clean for longer periods of time. Oils from your scalp don't reach the ends as quickly, allowing you to wash it less. This saves on shampoo and conditioner, even though you use a little bit more each time you wash than if you had less hair. Because you wash your hair less, your scalp decreases the chance of getting dried out and flaky, resulting in the unhappy sight of dandruff.

*Versatility with styling: You can do just about anything you want with long hair. Braiding is popular. Not just simple braids either. There are so many ways you can braid your hair these days. You can make French braids, lots of little braids that you fashion into designs, big braids that you wrap up and put on top of your head. Of course if you're not into braiding, why not try a little twisting? You can even invest in specially made tools that loop your hair through itself. Of course you can always put it up in a variety of ways too.

If you'd prefer to keep things a little simpler, curling, straightening, and easy ponytails are the way to go. Even if you need to dress them up, you have lots of choices. Traditional hair accessories come in a large assortment, and when you have long hair, you are not limited to them by any means. You can lace beads, jewelry, ribbon, and even scarves through and around your gorgeous locks of hair, leaving some of it very curly, while using other strands to help secure your do.

*Long hair is inexpensive: It's got to be the biggest benefit of all. Long hair is cheap to manage. For the most part, you keep it tangle free through regular grooming and brushing. Long hair rarely requires extra products like gels and hairsprays to keep it in place. Hair accessories work just fine most of the time. Long hair can be pulled back and look just fine, even when you wake up with bed head. It's easy, fun, and best of all has a reputation for being sexy.
