Enlightenment.
They've taken all. No, not my sight, nor hearing.
A neighbour tries to lead my mind to hear him.
My furtive glance away from who is shouting,
Must wait for what I want to see. Ah well,
My inner eyes can see a clarity, so brilliant,
The essence, pure, of what I really know.
Just fancy that! I see indeed now, doubtlessly,
That I am free to think I tell my neighbour
In the cell beside me. Those bars don't stop us
Talking to each other. But then he says, oh,
Quietly and concerned, convinced of its great
Meaning: Of madness only madmen know
its bliss! And smugly turns his back on me.
Absurdity! For hearing that a madman speaks, is
Then, ex aequo the hearer's sanity a consequence?
Checkmate, I think! I listen to the traffic thunder bye.
It's there! And through the grates my eyes can see
Flamingo-coloured candy-floss: clouds floating
In a pale blue sky. A silver-painted cupola
Gleams up a cross of brass on wooden church,
Reflecting falsely gold its rays Even the
Steel-wire mesh is lit before the Klieg-like
Lights go on. And suddenly I hear my voice
Ask:Whom do I owe this rare delight? Is what
I see mere figment, or lucidity? I sit amazed.
My warring mind is finding peace! Reality at last?

Poetry: Sanity
by Tom Mcmurray
Banished as we are from God
We are the sacerdotal lepers
Of the moon who feed upon
The universal majesty of star-dust
You
"To Find Myself"
I'm the lost reflection of you
Yes, I'm the sinner and beggar too
Too far gone to be saved now
Long gone lost
Dear Sanity, you are my only friend
But why do you disappear and then come back again?
Do you not realize how much I need
No one will be the wiser,
if their involvement is not known.
incompetency is the issue,
until you have no tone.
if recognition
Congratulations!
You made it through another day,
and the little white men didn't take you away
in their padded wagon
to a place
