There is a reason why the United States is the dominant team when it comes to basketball during the Olympic games. It is because the NBA produces the best and most exciting basketball players in the world. Out of the entire league however, there are only a handful of players that are worth paying every cent to go watch. I will give you the top 5 most exciting players to watch in the NBA today. These will be in order of whom I find the most exciting is.

The NBA superstar that electrifies the league and has everyone always cheering and excited is none other than King James himself. LeBron James can mesmerize you with a no look cross court pass or blow your mind with a monsterous slam while a defender tries to block his shot. As a matter of fact, even him playing defense and blocking shots is a sight to see. Swatting shots from the court all the way to the 5th row, he is a spectacular individual to watch. James makes the game fun and exciting to watch, whether it be in the arena or simply sitting at home watching it on TV. He takes the top spot as the most exciting NBA player to watch, but there is someone though who could make an argument for the top spot. That man's name, is the Miami Heat starting guard Dwayne Wade.

Wade's approach of not caring about getting hurt or not afraid of contact allows him to be an exciting attraction because it is always a treat to see him slash towards the hoop. His circus shots that are made for the game of "HORSE", are so awe inspiring it is hard not to cheer and say wow when he makes it. Even in college he was such an attraction with his play. No matter whether he plays at away or home games, the fans seem to always cheer for him and are anxious to see what Dwayne Wade is going to do next.

Number three of the most exciting NBA player to watch, is Los Angeles Lakers own Kobe Bryant. Whether you love him or hate him, you must admit Kobe Bryant is a fun player to watch. Lighting up the scoreboard with 30, 40, or 50 point games, its even possible to assume he can hit 80. If you're a Laker fan, Kobe is even more exciting. His demeanor in clutch situations, always wanting the ball and always hitting shots with time expiring is the best feeling in the world for a fan. "Kobe with the ball, 3 seconds left, he shoots and he scores Lakers win", is the best phrase for a Laker fan to hear.

Getting the ball in the hoop is always exciting, but sometimes how it gets there can be just as electrifying as well. There is no one in the league that does this better than Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets. The late great "Pistol" Pete Maravich and Earvin "Magic" Johnson helped make the pass a spectacular sight to see. Now Chris Paul carries on that tradition making exciting passes that looked as if impossible to make. The playmaking ability of Chris Paul is always a spectacle to watch.

It was difficult to choose from the field of players for this last spot on the top 5 list. With that being said, it has come to a two-way tie between Dwight Howard the Center for the Orlando Magic, and Allen Iverson currently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. Iverson has dazzled fans for years with his ridiculous crossovers and scoring ability. He has been doing it at a high level for years so there is no question he deserves to be here. Howard is a player I put on here because he makes defense so fun to watch and his offensive game is fun as well. His monstrous jams and scintillating rejections always gets a fan off their feet.

There are many players I left out such as Baron Davis, Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, Kevin Garnett, only to name a few. Agree or disagree with this list, but these are players that will astonish and excite if you watch them.
