One of the things that they did in future sight that I really liked was putting out cards with an alternate lay out. I don't know that I would want to see that card format permanently adopted but there is something cool about those few cards that have it, with the mana symbols along the left side it simply looks fresh.
Baru, Fist of Krosa is a rare legendary human druid from the future sight expansion set of magic the gathering. It costs two green and three colorless to put into play and is a 4/4 creature with two very useful abilities.
The first of these abilities reads "Whenever a Forest enters the battlefield, green creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain trample until end of turn."
One of the things that is important about this card is that it does not exclude Baru, Fist of Krosa, which means that so long as you are able to play a forest this is a 5/5 trample creature. In addition to this there is nothing that stops you from playing multiple forests in the same turn giving the creatures more than +1/+1. This alone makes Baru, Fist of Krosa worth playing, but as a legendary creature there is a small problem.
That problem is that you don't usually want to play four copies of a legendary creature since once you have one in play the others become useless. This is no true with Krosa though as he has a grandure ability which reads "Discard another card named Baru, Fist of Krosa: Put an X/X green Wurm creature token onto the battlefield, where X is the number of lands you control."
the value of this is not so much in the wurm itself, though it has the potential to be useful, but in the fact that drawing the second Baru, fist of Krosa doesn't become a wasted draw so you are able to build your deck more around this legendary creature than you are others.
In limited the second ability is almost certainly not going to come up because as a rare card you will not have two of these in the same sealed deck or draft, but the first ability, primarily trample is still quite useful and so while this may fall a bit on the draft list since only half of those abilities are useful it won't drop all that far.
