Smiles suddenly turned to tears.

With the passage of the years.

Memories held all their fears.

Smiles had been so easy to find.

Now the soul had turned so blind.

They had lost their collective mind.

Tragic tears tainted each fresh day.

Melancholia always came out to play.

Misery demanded its sweet pay.

Smiles rode along a river of tears.

Pity and pain...two sweet souvenirs.

Agonizing sounds absorbed by the ears.

Eventually, smiles and tears combined.

A malingering madness for mankind.

Burrowing deep into every mind.

Crazy chaos swept through each day.

Time had no room for any foolish play.

Anger and anarchy said, "TIME TO PAY!"
