Poetry: I will always love you

I gave you my heart and my breath,

I did this because you were the best.

You threw it away and now there's nothing left,

All because, for a moment, you thought I loved you less.

My head is spinning like an airplane out of control,

My body aches for you like a stomach aches for food.

The picture of your face is perfectly clear.

I see your smile, your face, you everywhere.

I'm really missing you but by now, I'm sure that's old news.

You can do almost anything and I would forgive you,

Don't you know by now that my love for you is true.

My love is like air; it may not be clear,

But it is always there.

I envision us together and old,

All of these things are because you touched my soul.

You're on my mind all of the time,

All I really want is to be yours and for you to be mine.
