To make a turkey wreath, the first step is to remove the center of a paper plate so that the outer edge, or rim, forms the shape of a wreath. If there is not a perforation of any sort, you can trace anything circular in the middle of the plate to give you a starting point. Next, use the brown poster paint and the paintbrush to coat this rim with colour, and set it aside so that it may dry.
Use the hole punch to make a hole in the plate, and then tie a loop of yarn or an old shoelace through the hole to make the noose to use as a hanger.

Cut out eyes, a beak, and a wattle from the construction paper and glue them in their proper place on the head of the turkey. In order to manufacture feathers for the turkey, cut out lots of small strips from the different colours of construction paper. Wrap each strip tightly around a sewing needle, and then carefully slide the needle out of the rolled paper. With all of these multi-coloured paper curls, glue them all on your turkey wreath.

In order to make a Pilgrim hat to use as a treat holder, you will need to have the following supplies; paper cups, construction paper (blue, black, and orange), black yarn or shoelace, scissors, glue, and small treats of each child's choice. The first step in making the Pilgrim hat favor is to cut the bottom out of a paper cup.
Then, cover the outside of the cup with glue and wrap the cup in black yarn or shoelace until it is completely covered. Set it aside and allow it to dry for a few minutes. While it is drying, you can continue on with the next steps, or wait until after recess break or lunch, giving the preschool children a chance to break from the task.
Next, cut out a circle from the black construction paper that is a little bit larger than the rim of the paper cup. This circle will serve as the brim of the hat. Glue the cup to the brim so that the cut out bottom of the cup is now the top of the hat. Cut a blue hat-band and an orange buckle out of the construction paper, and glue them in place.
Once everything has completely dried, fill the Pilgrim hat favor with the small treats of your choice, and place one on everybody's place setting during the Thanksgiving dinner.
