Why New Year's resolutions don't work

Many people from all over the world make resolutions on New Year's Eve. And each time they will look back with disappointment. But year after year they will set goals and often never really achieved them. In a result they will blame themselves for not going through with their plans. Then, they will make promises to themselves to solemnly pledging to shape up, and get the courage they need to do better next year.

This has certainly become a tradition, for many people to make New Year resolution to change a bad situation in their lives that they are not pleased about. However, many people are wondering why their New Year resolution don't work. I will tell you why, the main reasons they don't work is probably because, most of you are not really trying hard enough, and to change the goals you set for yourself. OK is it getting harder and harder to work towards your goals? Maybe you haven't gotten around starting working on those goals and you keep putting it off. And you keep saying to yourself maybe, I will start on it next week so you keep putting it off week after week. Then, the weeks become months then eventually you will totally forgotten all about it.

That is the main reason why most New Year resolution doesn't work. What many people don't realize is that when you make a New Year resolution, you must commit yourself to what you are trying to achieve. I think that's the real reason why resolutions rarely succeed. Yet we still make them year after year. Personally, I think it is ridiculous for doing the same thing over and over again with the expectation of getting different result Are we really all insane?

Most resolutions fail because people lack the real understanding of how they work. The question is what we can do to overcome these common traps? Ok let's talk about how to make it work. Most resolutions are always made at the last minute of New Years Eve without even considering if you will take it seriously. You don't need to start your resolutions right away. Well give yourself enough time to really define resolutions that you want for yourself. Please try and remember that when you do the right thing it's much more important than doing things right.
