We stand and wait for battle
The approaching army marches
Many men in sight
And many more will come
Tomorrow
Just a soldier, one of many
Commissioned only weeks ago
We forget the lore of heroes
Stand and face the awful truth
Shouts and yells
Attempts at bravery
Remember now the motherland
Fight the fear and stand
The country is so beautiful
Open fields lightly wooded
Grass and streams and wild flowers
Bathed in the sunlight of late morning
But that is another world
It is now the darkest hour
Listen to the brave commander
His words are only air
Green and yellow showered in red
Until the rains come again

Save It
I give to you this word
"Forever"
Take it please
I have no use for it
Such a emphatic word
Grossly over-used
And pledged
Finally she enters into normalcy they say.
Left behind the hell once gripped so tight.
She couldn't pray.
Is it what
He Is...
He is my Savior, my Redeemer, The only lamb of God.
I do not care what the world may think or even
We stand and wait for battle
The approaching army marches
Many men in sight
And many more will come
Tomorrow
Just a soldier,
by Shaheen Darr
When you find it hard to raise your head
When you just want to step back and not look ahead
When being good enough
