If you love playing basketball alone, this is the basketball app for you. However, if you want to play a real basketball game that earns the title "3 point hoops basketball," you may have to look elsewhere. I thought that this game would allow me to play with a team, or at least a game that resembles "actual" basketball. But, once I started the game, I was a little shocked. I was basically playing "HORSE" and worse, I was playing by myself.

Now, I am a little disappointed with the developers. These same people came up with Arcade Hoops Basketball, an app which was really appropriate and lived up to its name. After I played Arcade Hoops Basketball, I thought that Skyworks' other games would also be worth a try. First of all, the name of the app itself ("3 Point Hoops Basketball") is a little misleading. Their other basketball app was aptly named, since it is labeled "arcade." This reminds people of the basketball game they would be familiar with in arcades. This app, on the other hand, is not a basketball game at all. It is just a person shooting hoops all the time.

Of course, the game also has its pros. The graphics are good and are comparable to the Arcade Hoops Basketball app. The gameplay is quite smooth, even for a game that takes advantage of the touchscreen very well. I do not think that the developers of this game should have any trouble creating another app that actually does incorporate a bigger game of basketball.

One of the best and probably most important point about this game is that it can be played by anyone. You do not need to have a set of instructions at all. You just use your fingers and let the ball slide through the net (and hopefully, it does go through perfectly). Children and adults from all ages and backgrounds will surely like to have a game of simple basketball without having to worry about being victorious over another team.

All in all, I think this game does well for its category. However, I really do think that it should be renamed because its current title is quite misleading. In the long run, it is a fun game for what it is worth and I am sure that I will continue to be entertained whenever I have a few minutes to spare.
