The thought of Ric Flair returning to the ring is really not that exciting. He is much older than he was years ago when he was able to go out and perform at the high level. Ric Flair coming back is, in a personal opinion, a slap in the face of the way he had gone out at WrestleMania against Shawn Michaels. Granted, this has more to do with money than anything else because he had made foolish decisions in his life but he does not need to get back in the ring.
There are rumors about the thought of Ric Flair coming to TNA along side with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. It is fine if he wants to work in the company in a non-wrestling role but to get back out there again and perform would be a bit much. There comes a time where a person needs to know when to stop wrestling because it would be embarrassing to watch. Terry Funk for many years kept wrestling but it just became hard to watch.
It is a case of just simply Flair probably needing money and nothing more. It is just a sad state to see a man who has become a huge legend in the business. Now, if he does come out and doesn't wrestle so much and just be a manager for a young talent, then it should be fine. He is at the point where if you look at his career, he has nothing left to prove to himself or anyone else.
In regards to his future in wrestling, it really is going to be tough and will be something that needs to be assessed and figured out. The reality is Ric Flair is a legend in the business and that will never be taken away no matter how old he gets. At this point in his life, there is just nothing left to accomplish in the ring that he hasn't all ready done before. There is nothing left in regards to accomplishing a lot in the business.
Truthfully, who really knows if he will go to TNA. That is anyone's guess and something that needs to be considered. There are rumors as stated, but who knows what will happen. Flair may just simply not join up with TNA and could feel he may have some sort of sense of loyalty with WWE. Without really knowing for sure, it is just speculation. It is an interesting thought nevertheless and could be a reality. As long as he doesn't go out and wrestle every night or even really wrestle, it might be fine to have a man like Flair who could become a good trainer for young talent in TNA.
