"Guul Draz Vampire" is a 1/1 black vampire rogue that is printed as a common for the Magic the Gathering expansion set known as "Zendikar." Perhaps this is one of the cards in the Zendikar that should not have been printed as a common. It seems to be better off if the Guul Draz Vampire was printed as an uncommon. Due to what Guul Draz Vampire can do, it would seem to be a good pick for any pauper deck that uses black creatures let alone vampires. A pauper deck is pretty much a Magic the Gathering deck that uses only common cards.
The converted mana cost for the Guul Draz Vampire is one. You will need to spend one black mana to bring Guul Draz Vampire from your hand onto the battlefield. For what the Guul Draz Vampire can do, one black mana is more than reasonable enough. If you have a deck built around vampires, it probably would not hurt to have Guul Draz Vampire in your deck. In a free-for-all match, the Guul Draz Vampire comes in very handy for the most part.
What does the Guul Draz Vampire do in the first place?
Guul Draz Vampire as one ability that does not kick in until an opponent has ten life points or less. Should that be the case, the Guul Draz Vampire will receive +2/+1 and Intimidate. To start things off, the Guul Draz Vampire will be a 3/2 creature once an opponent's life points is equal to ten or less. On top of that, the Guul Draz Vampire will have the ability of Intimidate. In the case of Guul Draz Vampire being a black creature, it is somewhat similar to Fear.
Fear makes it that a creature cannot be blocked except by artifact creatures and black creatures. Intimidate is somewhat similar to Fear. However, creatures with Intimidate can only be blocked by artifact creatures and creatures that share the same color. If a red creature with Intimidate attacked, it could only be blocked by artifact creatures and red creatures. This is the slight difference between Fear and Intimidate.
By the time your opponent has ten life points or less, you can swing with Guul Draz Vampire for the kill unless s/he has artifact creatures and black creatures. If not, the opponent cannot do anything about it. S/he will have to rely upon creature destruction, creature damage, creature weakening, and creature removal spells in order to get rid of the Guul Draz Vampire.
Overall, Guul Draz Vampire is a great card to have. Even though the Guul Draz Vampire is a common card, it has plenty of potential. When with cards that help other vampire creatures out, Guul Draz becomes impressive in a matter of turns.
