Goblins are one of the most fun and powerful of the magic the gathering tribes. In red they have direct damage to back them up, they can overwhelm the opponent quickly and improve their strength with their generals, but there is one problem. Goblins tend to play out their cards very quickly and once that happens if the opponent isn't dead, or at least very close to dead the game can begin to go very badly for them.
Wort, Boggart Auntie is the solution for that problem in the goblin tribe. A rare legendary goblin shaman from the Lorwyn expansion set of magic the gathering, this card costs one black mana, one red mana and two colorless mana to put into play and is a 3/3 creature with fear. This is of some use, but the real reason to play this card is for its ability.
Wort, Boggart Auntie's ability reads "At the beginning of your upkeep, you may return target Goblin card from your graveyard to your hand."
What this generally means is that every turn you can take the best goblin from your graveyard and since goblins are generally inexpensive you can play it almost immediately meaning that so long as Wort, boggart Auntie is in play you are never going to run out of Goblins.
This is only the superficial use of this card though. In lorwyn there are tribal spells as well and the goblins have one of the most useful of these tribal spells Tarfire. This is a simple spell that costs one red and can do two damage to a creature or player, but more importantly it counts as a goblin so with Wort, Boggart Auntie you could cast this every turn if you so choose or you could just ensure that you always have it in your hand making it far more dangerous for your opponent to block your goblins since he or she will know that you have it.
In limited the only weakness of this card comes in the number of goblins you can draft. If you can put enough goblins into your deck this is a fantastic card that will win you games, but you'll want at least 5 and more likely 10 goblins in a forty card deck to get good value out of this card and more is always better. But in lorwyn with its focus on tribes and many shapeshifters this shouldn't be all that hard.
