How to formulate your own fitness plan

When it comes to fitness, you should always do your best to make a plan that is going to fit your needs. When you are making your fitness goals, you have to realize that everyone is different, and everyone is going to have different goals that they are going to want to accomplish to get fit. What one person considers fit, someone else might consider fat. So how should you go about making a fitness plan?

The first thing you should do is determine what your fitness goals are. Do you want to lose weight, or do you just want to have a higher level of fitness? You can be within a good weight, but have no stamina, and not be able to run five feet without getting exhausted. Also, what are the time limits toward your fitness goal? Are you trying to simply lose some weight for a wedding, or to make weight for a team?

Once you figure out why you want to get fit, and what the goal is, you should formulate a way to get there. Are you going to lose ten pounds by eating better, exercising, or both? Do you want to gain some muscle, and you also want to build stamina? If that is the case you might want to think about some cross training, with some running, and weight lifting involved.

What kind of impact do you want? Do you want to go high impact. or can you only sustain a certain amount of impact? If you are older, or don't have the stamina yet to do a heavy workout, you might want to start slow, and learn the form of the exercises that you are trying to do. You should start with a few minutes on the treadmill, and few reps on the dumbbells, and then build it up.

Don't overdo it. Consult a professional if you really want to learn how to get in shape quickly, and correctly. Consult your doctor if you feel you might have any limitations. Your doctor can also help you formulate a plan that will help you get in shape in a way that will fit your body type, and current fitness level.

Making your own fitness plan is something that you should be careful with before you start. Don't try to overdo your training, and make sure you have clear goals. There are risks, and benefits that go along with any fitness plans, and anytime you exercise you risk overdoing it. So just be careful, and always consult a professional if you have any questions.
