Poetry: Far away

by Bob Mcgee

You are so far away. You said you could stay...but why? Why did you leave me? I run as fast as I can to catch up...I can hardly breath. I suck in deep breathes of cool air as they fill my lungs. Shortly after the oxygen is dispensed. After you I run. My legs pumping up and down like pistons I try to keep up. Faster and faster I go, but the faster I go the further and further you slip into the coll, night air. Far away you are now, and leave me to dispare.
