Facebook's Fight to Keep God in America Cause

With a little more than 320,000 members, Facebook's Fight to Keep God in America cause seems to need a spin off that might be titled, Fight to Keep God on Facebook. The cause isn't really political at all. It's listed under the religious Christianity section. But it isn't necessarily for religious fanatics either. Fight to Keep God in America is a cause that supports what America already has, and tries to prevent losing it from lack of interest, or failure to speak up.

Founder positions are pretty straight forward: America needs God and Without God we perish. There's no anti-government message here, just a clear message for people who want to admit that God should be part of America. More importantly, Fight to Keep God in America educates us about American history, and how God was very much a part of the foundation of America. This of course gets debated in the discussion section by atheists who simply don't agree. They present their side of the issue, and the debate continues.

The home page for Fight to Keep God in America is filled with happy messages, kudos for God. Opportunities for education, concerns about personal responsibility, and the real meat of the site can be found in the Discussion forums. There you will find topics ranging from Evidence for God to fears of what could actually happen in America if we turn our backs on God. Atheists join in and defend their point of view too, as do those who personally witnessed communism in Russia, and don't wish to see America plagued like that. All remains civil as people discuss how they feel about God, or find no purpose to believe in Him as the case may be.

You generally won't find anyone hitting you up for money on Facebook's Fight to Keep God in America cause. Their purpose appears to be about awareness and increasing numbers, not supporting a political agenda with funds, or spending big bucks to advertise what they do. It's a personal message really, one that you either agree with or you don't, could participate in or not, one that's just there in case you want to add your voice and contribute your two cents worth.

It seems a lot of people believe in the power of prayer for America. Several members must work tirelessly to recruit members to this particular cause, as a few of them have recruited close to and more than one hundred members. It's an emotionally charged issue that begs to be noticed as one of Facebook's many causes.
