My fridge overflowing
Urging friends, "Take a plate."
Visions of turkey sandwiches
That never abate.
Tetrazini, turkey salad,
What else can I make?
How 'bout turkey lasagna
And a big turkey cake?
The kids are complaining;
The spouse now eats out;
If you can believe it,
Even the dog sports a pout.
Fin'lly, that last bite
Ingested and gone,
Now for the Christmas turkey
Got my oven turned on. . .
