THE CHALLENGES OF DATING A MARRIED MAN

When a woman dates a married man her biggest challenge will be that she has to contend with the fact that he is living with a wife who he wishes to or has to prioritise when he works out where he will be and when he will be there. Odds are that he will be with his wife night times, evenings and weekends, the times when most people who see each other, date or have a relationship tend to get together, especially if they work during normal hours weekdays. As his mistress, she will be faced with the problem of having to wait until he has some free time to spare and trying to fit in with when he is available. He may be busy for the whole of this week and next week, then he might have a few hours to spare when she is normally visiting her sister or at work. Needing to be patient and flexible about time and other plans are the biggest challenges she faces when dating a married man. It can be very frustrating to always have to fit around the other person and them never fitting around you, and always waiting until that person can fit you in. But it can also hurt to know that your lover has another partner they see as well as you. Jealously can be a difficult emotion to control and handle yet it is still a natural one. There will be times when the man has weekends away or holidays with his wife, things he maybe cannot do with his mistress, so resentment can set in.

But she also has to face the fact that things are one sided. He may well say that she is not allowed his address or phone number at home and can only ring him on his mobile at certain times or leave a message at a message service, yet he expects to be able to phone her at home and maybe also come around to her home and share her home with her when he can escape and get away. This can be frustrating when things are going well but it is even more difficult if she needs to contact him urgently. Maybe she needs to let him know that she cannot make their "date" tomorrow and needs to cancel it. It might also be difficult to get any privacy if it is always impossible to go to the man's home and there may be times when it is not possible to use yours, or you may simply resent the fact that it is always at yours.

Any woman who wants to share her life with her partner and plan a future with him will find it challenging to date a married man. The best she will get is usually an extra few hours here and there, nothing of any real significance and nothing that changes the future.
