Stackable plastic chairs have been around for years. I believe the first one was called the Joe Colombo universal chair made between 1965 1967.
They created an adjustable chair in three different stackable sizes all from one type of material. These were a bar stool, dining chair and a lower version. This enabled mass production by a machine. They produced the individual stacked chair and a version of row seating chairs.
The simplicity of the stackable plastic chairs will ensure that you find the right type suitable for any occasion and budget. They come in a variety of colors, with or without armrests. The full plastic chairs will not show wear like the ones made with fabric upholstery.
The innovation of a stackable chair was a brilliant idea. They can be stacked in cupboards, boardrooms, churches, halls and used for all types of events. This is such a space saving idea for every occasion.
Original white Patio chair
In the good old days, the invention of those white chairs proved to be very popular. You could throw them in the back of the car and take them to parties or use at home on your patio. They needed less looking after. You could turn the hose over them and wash off all the dust, dirt, and stack away, ready for the next occasion. It reduced the need to re-stain, re-paint, and do the normal repairs that wood furniture needed every year.
These chairs were wonderful for all occasions; dress them up for special events or use as they are at any time of year.
A word of caution
After several years of use, they became dangerous. When left outside in the weather and heat. They cracked and became weak, causing injuries to unsuspecting individuals. Often people stood on them, using them as a ladder. When a larger person leaned backwards, they would fall, as the leg bent under their weight and often injured.
Since then the producers have avoided litigation by stamping the date of production underneath. The purchaser needs to check this warranty date on all their chairs, and destroy the chairs when this date expires. This will eliminate or lessen the risk of injuries.
Since those days, new ideas have evolved. Companies have produced a number of varieties of stackable chairs. They make them for the use at meeting in all office situations. These come in a simple plastic style to a vinyl-upholstered design. You can also order the padded office chairs covered in a variety of material fabrics and colors.
Here are a few names of a variety of designs of stackable chairs:
Heavy duty patterned upholstered stack chair
Polypropylene
Ergonomic shell stack chair in variety of colors
Stack chair with chrome sled
Teardrop frame banquet stack chair
Church chair with a thick seat
Resin Chiavari stackable chair
Dining or ballroom style chairs
The resin Chiavari chair looks smart enough to have in your dining room. Made from tech-no polymers it makes them a sturdier, lighter and better than a plastic chair with a metallic insert. UV protected and made with an optional shoe, for use on lawns and sand.
Pool Recliners
There are also many designs of metal and plastic stackable pool recliner chairs. These are great for lounging around the pool starting to obtain that golden glow from the sun.
Be assured, plastic stackable chairs will be around for a long time to come. In the coming years companies will continue to invent and manufacture new styles to suit every occasion.
