Who are you to judge others?

hurt unnecessarily and families destroyed due to people being judged on color alone. Judging can be just that dangerous when we judge before getting any facts or bothering to get to know the people that are being judged.

A doubled edged sword

Judging can be a double edge sword. It can influence others to judge in a negative way and the hurt that is caused by this formed opinion usually has very little bases. It can come back to haunt you for the rest of your life if you have judged wrong. For example, if we hear that the neighbor is a child molester and we pass this opinion on to others without any proof. Should hearing it be sufficient enough to form an opinion of this person or should we wait and rely on facts before we form an opinion. Once the word gets out it will be impossible to take it back. If that neighbor turns out to be an innocent loving father or mother that cares for their child more than life what have we taken from their character by judging them on rumor? The judging will continue long after they have been proven innocent. If the judging goes far enough we have destroyed their lives and will leave you with untold guilt for being a part of it.

There is a simple solution to judging and that is to get to know the person first. There are times that your judgment could be correct but there are many more times that it can be totally wrong. Everyone deserves the chance of the benefit of the doubt. When it comes right down to it we as a people have no right to judge. There is a higher power that will do the judging so who are we to judge others?
