Who are you to judge others?

Each day we live we pass judgment on someone. Whether it is a person that's in the news at the moment or someone we have just met. Judgment can be passed on appearance, actions, color, race or creed. It is human nature and a trait that can cause a lot of harm if we are not careful of how we judge. If we stop and think who are you to judge others?

We all judge on a daily bases, sometimes unintentionally but nevertheless we judge. Though it may only be obvious to you, if you do a reality check, you'll find out you are guilty every day of passing some type of opinion on someone. It can be a dangerous tool that we as humans possess if our judging opinions are passed on to others. Judgment can destroy other people characters, you can hurt people that you don't even know and you can incite riots by judging. It is a very deadly tool that you must be aware of at all times. Judging is a tool that must be used sparingly after we give people the benefit of the doubt before judging.

By judging you are shorting yourself of getting to know a person as he really is, not at how you perceive him. You are doing an injustice to yourself and passing up the chance to gain experiences that this very person may have added to your life. We all do it but does that make it right?

Judging by religion

This is a judgment that is steeped far into our pass which makes us think we should have learnt by now it is not the way to judge a person. Judgment of religion has led to wars yet it is still practiced by some people. It is very easy to assign a label to a religion that is different from our own. Religion doesn't make the person, getting to know the person first and then the religion would give you a better outlook to make a judgment if you have to judge at all. This type of judging still lives in the world and is alive and well as we see in Ireland.

Judging by color

We all know where judging by color has gotten the world when we have judged by color. Riots have evolved for this very reason. Our history shows that people have been
