This is one of the cards printed in the Lorwyn set that encourage players to build around a theme of creatures. With respect to Boggart Auntie, players are encouraged to build around goblins. Goblins seem to be one of the major creature themes for the Lorwyn block.
The converted mana cost for Wort, Boggart Auntie is four. You will need one black mana, one red mana, and two colorless mana to bring Wort, Boggart Auntie from your hand and onto the battlefield. For what Wort, Boggart Auntie can do, the casting cost is well worth it. Keep in mind that Wort, Boggart Auntie is a legendary creature and is subject to the "legendary rule." If there are two cards on the battlefield named Wort, Boggart Auntie, they both get sent to the graveyard. Also, this is both a red creature and a black creature. It means that Wort, Boggart Auntie is susceptible to anything that affects black and red permanents.
What does Wort, Boggart Auntie do in the first place?
The first ability is Fear. Whenever Wort, Boggart Auntie attacks, an opponent needs either an artifact or a black creature to block. If not, s/he is taking three points of combat damage. Fear is handy against opponents that neither have artifact creatures or black creatures on the battlefield. But, it is not the mainly ability of Wort, Boggart Auntie.
The main ability allows you to return a target goblin card from your graveyard to your hand. In this respect, you can keep bringing back your goblins. This goes handy with certain goblins such as "Weirding Shaman." Weirding Shaman has a mana ability that lets you sacrifice a goblin to create two 1/1 black goblin rogue tokens. If you sacrifice a nontoken goblin, you can bring it back to your hand during your upkeep via Wort, Boggart Auntie.
Think of this as a very handy way to keep bringing back your goblin creatures for the most part. Because of this ability, Wort, Boggart Auntie is invaluable to have should you have a deck full of goblin creatures.
Overall, Wort, Boggart Auntie is a very good goblin card to have for the most part. If you are using a black and red deck with goblins, Wort, Boggart Auntie is a card you should consider having.
