Are there two Gods: One for the poor and one for the rich?

Some people believe in one God, while others believe in many. But even if there were more than one God, you can't categorise them based on who they belong to. God is for everyone, simple as that.

'Rich' and 'poor' are just words we have made up to categorise people. It's like maps. The lines don't actually exist when someone looks at the Earth from space. We are the ones who made those imaginary lines. It seems like we are always looking for ways to differentiate people from one another. Yes we all have our differences, but in the end we are all human.

God created us all as equals, and so He equally belongs to everyone regardless of their social class. If anything, the 'rich' people have a responsibility towards the 'poor'. God hasn't forgotten to give some people the money. He has entrusted that money to the 'rich' people. Think about it: if every 'rich' person on Earth gave a small amount of money to the 'poor', then there would be no more 'poor' people!

Being 'rich' or 'poor' does not define a person. Money is very transitory. You an be 'rich' one day and desperately 'poor' the next. People are not necessarily predestined to be 'rich' or 'poor'. We can make our life what we want it to be. Some people may be born into successful families, but end up begging on the streets. Others start from scratch and make their way to the top. If you say your prayers to the 'rich people's' God before you go to bed, and wake up to find you've gone bankrupt, will you say your morning prayers to a different God?

Whether sick or healthy, rich or poor, make or female, God belongs to us all. We should not use God as an excuse to make another boundary between people. When you walk into a mosque, a church, or any other place of worship, you will see everyone praying to the same God. You cannot walk in there and distinguish between the rich and the poor. We are supposed to dress modestly in religious places, so that everyone feels like an equal. You can keep your Prada shoes and Louis Vuitton bags for dinner parties and family gatherings. A place of worship needs to have a sense of unity, because in the end, regardless of who we are, what we do, or how much money we make, we are all praying to the same God.
