The legacy of George W. Bush

George W. Bush what was his legacy. I mean who are we kidding. What did he even do for this country. Besides cause more trouble for us. He signed The Patriot Act October 26, 2001. So what exactly was the Patriot Act. Was it a smart move. Well The Patriot Act was supposed to fight terrorism. What he did was sell are liberties are rights that are fore fathers fought for. Was it not Benjamin Franklin who said "They that essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety" -Benjamin Franklin. He took away pretty much all the Bill of Rights. And how could he call it the patriot act. Its not even patriotic. Sell our rights, back down.


That is not America it's not what we believe in. Another move he made was he opened a place called Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Where we cage many terrorist ring leaders and other criminals. So whats so bad about that its what there doing to them. There violating the amendments. For example amendment 6 The right to a free trial. Shouldn't they be tried by court isn't that what the true Americans believed in. The real patriots. Everyone deserves a chance at court. Do we give that to the prisoners. No do they deserve it yes. Sure that did the most inhumanething ever. But then again they still are human. And if we don't give them what is said in the Constitution, its wrong.


And in the declaration of Independence its says "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights". Is that not what they wrote. All men are created equal. And I think that violates amendment 1 freedom of speech. Shouldn't they have a say in what they did. Before there tortured. Amendment 8 "to restrict all cruel and unusual punishments". Torturing is wrong and perfectly fits the term, cruel and unusual punishment. "Bails,fines, and punishments must be humane". Now is torturing humane. I don't think so. How could he have been so corrupt. And stupid to have done something like this. This is not what America is. And we let it passed. George W. Bush tried to fight terrorism. But only created more. He sold are liberty's for safety. He gave our rights our liberties, for something we thought we fight terrorism. But only caused more. What did he pass on.What was his legacy. That his what he made and left for us to live and deal with.
