The main concentration for your Thanksgiving decorations will be your dinner table.  Make a Thanksgiving centerpiece everyone will remember.  Here are a few ideas for a Thanksgiving centerpiece.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas:

Flowers - An easy centerpiece for Thanksgiving is flowers. You can buy an arrangement or make your own. Use a small plate or tray under your centerpiece and add your favorite flowers. If you like an arrangement that the flowers stand up in, use Styrofoam to hold the flowers.

Candles - A beautiful centerpiece any time of the year is candles. For Thanksgiving you can use tall brass candlesticks with long maroon candles. You can buy shaped candles that stand alone to use as a centerpiece. If you have a hard time finding inexpensive candles take a trip to your nearest Dollar Tree.

Nuts - An interesting centerpiece for Thanksgiving or any time is nuts. You can set nuts out in a container or you can dress them up. Use a plate or tray and put pine needles on it. Then, you can add color by putting fruit on the plate or just putting the nuts down. Having a nut cracker handy will let your guests know they can eat your centerpiece, guilt free.

Corn of Copiah - You don't actually have to make a Corn of Copiah for a centerpiece. You can buy one to use. If you do make one, use food that your guests can eat while they are waiting for dinner. Not only will your centerpiece be talked about and looked at, but everyone can enjoy eating it as well.

Deer - One of my favorite animals, that are abundant in the area in the fall is deer. If you are having a hard time finding deer figurines to use in your centerpiece, look in the toy section and the craft section of the store. Most toy sections will have plastic animals and you should be able to find a suitable size deer for your centerpiece display.

For a deer centerpiece, you can either have one deer as the center or main focus of your centerpiece, or you can use several deer. You will want to start your deer centerpiece with a tray or plate. Other items that you might want to add will be nuts or acorns, pine needles, pine cones and a vine wreath.

To make your centerpiece feel like a forest, you might want to use a vine wreath around the deer. You could also use a little vine wreath and put the deer on the outside of the wreath with the other items on the inside.

You can add pine needles to the bottom of your centerpiece for effect. Then, add a few nuts or acorns. If you can find a small pine cone you may want to add a pine cone. After the other items are added, decide whether you want the deer on the inside or the outside of your wreath. Less is more when you are decorating inside the wreath. If you still have room where pine needles are showing, then put the deer on the inside.

These Thanksgiving centerpieces can be used in fall as well. Just make sure if you are using real items that they don't start to rot on you. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
