How to find a local Weight Watchers meeting

The first step in finding a Weight Watchers meeting is easy one. Check out the Weight Watchers site at www.weightwatchers.com. Once you get to the main site you will find a link which says Find a meeting. Once you click on that link you will be brought to a screen which asks you for your zip code. When you put in your zip code you will be brought to a page or pages with all of your local Weight Watcher meeting places listed.

Each listing will give you their approximate distance from you a meeting can be found based on the zip code. There you will also find  the class schedule at each location. Depending on where you want to go, there are often several choices for meeting places and times. There are also several choices for meeting leaders and you can call up their names and the times where they are leading the class. On the left hand side of the page, there is a spot where you can click on selected meeting times and days which can narrow down your search.

In addition to the class leaders and the meeting choices, you will be able to map out directions to the meeting place of your choice. The site will also tell you if your meeting place is in a particular plaza and if it is near a particular store so that you have other landmarks to go by to find the Weight Watchers Center.

Once you find a meeting you are interested in, there are a few options for the Weight Watchers membership. Most of the options include a twenty dollar registration fee, although occasionally you may find a special boasting free registration. Once you register you have a few membership options. One of these is the Monthly pass where you pay around nine dollars a month and can get unlimited meetings. Another is their fourteen week plan where you pay between ten and eleven dollars a week for fourteen weeks worth of visits. The third option is the Pay As You Go where you pay the registration and pay twelve dollars each time you go.

If after looking at all the information on the site about the meetings you decide that there is nothing close to you, or that you don't want to go that route, there is always Weight Watchers Online. You can join this program for three months or more and can do your weigh-ins in the privacy of your home. You get all the information you need on the website including the plan, recipes and a message board. The only downside would be the lack of support from your leader, although if you use the message boards, you can get peer support.
