"Rebellion of the Flamekin" is a red enchantment spell printed as an uncommon for the Magic the Gathering expansion set known as "Lorwyn." This is somewhat of a type of card in Lorwyn that somewhat encourages players to build around a theme of creatures. In respect to Rebellion of the Flamekin, players are encouraged to build around the theme of elementals. However, Rebellion of the Flamekin does make an interesting card for a red shock and burn deck.
The converted mana cost for Rebellion of the Flamekin is four. You will need one red mana and three colorless mana to play Rebellion of the Flamekin. For what Rebellion of the Flamekin can do, the converted mana cost seems to be well worth it for the most part. Keep in mind that Rebellion of the Flamekin is an enchantment spell. It means that Rebellion of the Flamekin is susceptible to anything and everything that affects enchantment spells.
What does Rebellion of the Flamekin do in the first place?
The enchantment's ability kicks in whenever you Clash. Clash is an ability that is printed in certain cards. You pick an opponent and Clash with him/her. By Clashing, you and your opponent reveal the top card of the respective libraries. The card with the higher converted mana cost wins the Clash.
In this respect, you want to have cards that allow you to Clash with an opponent. Just by clashing, you can pay one colorless mana to bring out a 3/1 red elemental shaman token onto the battlefield. You do not have to tap Rebellion of the Flamekin to use the ability. In this respect, you can use as much mana as you want for the most part. If you win the Clash, those tokens gain Haste. Haste means that they are unaffected by summoning sickness and can attack the moment they enter the battlefield.
There is another way to give those tokens Haste. You can use the red enchantment known as "Fervor." Fervor simply gives your creatures Haste. With that on the battlefield, it would not matter if you win or lose the Clash.
For a those 3/1 red elemental tokens, you can also add in "Rage Reflection." Rage Reflection is a red enchantment that gives all of your creatures Double Strike. In that respect, you can have your 3/1 tokens deal up to six points of combat damage. With Fervor and Rage Reflection, you do not have to worry about winning a Clash. You simply attack with those elemental tokens.
Overall, Rebellion of the Flamekin is an excellent card to have in a red burn deck provided you have cards that let you Clash. This is a card you would want to have in any aggressive deck with red.
