I used to laugh and joke a lot
I used to run and play
I used to be strong and healthy
Then I got sick one day
I went to the doctor like a big girl
Everyone said I'd get better
I knew in my heart things were different
And so I asked the angels to write you this letter
Thank you for taking care of me
When your soul wanted to hide
Thank you for standing beside me
Until the day that I died
I am sorry I didn't fight harder
I am sorry I didn't win
I am sorry I won't get more time with you
My life barely had time to begin
My time on Earth is over
My time with you is through
When I see you in Heaven
I will make it all up to you
Dry your eyes now Mommy
Go hug everyone you love
And remember when you are missing me
That I am watching you from up above

no worries or fears
plays in the meadow
smelling the wildflowers
feeling the dew on her toes

Hard Words
Cold and hard some people's words sound
they think it will get me up from the ground
but hard words can not hurt
