Poetry: Change

I am changing I am young, with much life to live, I also have a lot to give, I am changing. There are pressures that I endure, but I want to remain clean & pure. I've made mistakes, slipped up along the way, but God has blessed me to see a new day. I know I am not grown, and I can't develop on my own, I need you to help me see the better part of me. My desire is to do great things in life, in my heart I want to do what's right. So give me a chance, listen closely to what I say, give me a hug, spend the day. Don't always yell and push me to the side, I don't want to be fearful and hide I want to shout from the top of the world, that we are priceless boys and girls At our ages there is much that goes on, but with God's help he will keep us strong. Please understand that every word and deed makes a deposit in me. I just want everyone to understand, listen & see, I hear, I observe, I want to know and to grow, look at me I am changing
