"Militia's Pride" is a white enchantment spell printed as a rare for the Magic the Gathering expansion set known as "Lorwyn." This is one of the several "tribal enchantment" cards printed in Lorwyn. It is a card that encourages players to build around a certain theme of creatures. In the case of Militia's Pride, players are encouraged to build around the theme of the kithkins.
The converted mana cost for Militia's Pride is two. You will need one white mana and one colorless mana to bring Militia's Pride from your hand and onto the battlefield. For what Militia's Pride can do, the mana cost is well worth it. Keep in mind that Militia's Pride is an enchantment spell. With this said, Militia's Pride is susceptible to spells and abilities that affect enchantment spells.
What does Militia's Pride do in the first place?
As long as Militia's Pride is on the battlefield, you may pay one white mana whenever a nontoken creature you control attacks. If you do, you get to put out a 1/1 white kithin soldier token onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. In this respect, you only need to attack with one nontoken creature to be able to deal more damage to an opponent. You do not even have to tap Militia's Pride to use this ability.
If you attack with a regular creature, you could pay four white mana. Doing so allows you to put out four 1/1 white kithkin soldier tokens onto the battlefield. Over time, you can amass an army of 1/1 white kithkin soldier tokens. In this respect, you have a good reason to be playing a pure white deck. You can play a low cost creature and save the rest of your white mana to use for Militia's Pride. In this respect, you got a sizable offense and defense.
You can even combine this with "Kinsbaile Borderguard." When Kinsbaile Borderguard enters the battlefield, it gets a +1/+1 counter for each other kithkin you control. By using Militia's Pride to be making a bunch of 1/1 white kithin soldiers, you are increasing the number of +1/+1 counters that the Kinsbaile Borderguard receives upon entering the battlefield.
Since they also count as soldiers, you can use "Cenn's Tactician." That card allows you to place +1/+1 counters on your soldiers. Soldiers with a +1/+1 counter under your control can block an additional creature. This is something that can be used with Militia's Prize to strengthen one's defenses.
Overall, Militia's Pride is a very good card to have for the most part. Make sure you use this in a deck with plenty of kithkin friendly cards. Also, add in cards like "Captain of the Watch" to give all of your soldiers let alone kithkin soldiers +1/+1. In a white kithkin deck, Militia's Pride is a must have card.
