Bras. They come in all shapes and sizes. They boost and support all types of figures. They are a required necessity of almost every woman's wardrobe, and they are way too expensive. Yet most women need them, if only to make that beautiful blouse look all the more charming.

It seems most bra manufacturer's charge by the yard, basing their price on the size and use of the bra. If you are a very busty lady, you can expect to pay extra for nature's not so little blessings. Not everyone can afford the high prices of their indispensible under garments. There are alternatives, but you have to know where to look.

*Super Discount Stores: Places like Wal-mart and Kmart have heard your cries for cheaper lingerie. While years ago they kept their selection rather limited, these days you can find a vast assortment of sizes and styles of bras, some even from popular manufacturers like Bali and Playtex. If you are extra savvy, you can use coupons on clearance merchandise, too. A word of caution when purchasing bras as super discount stores, even if you hate the thought of it, make sure you try them on before you purchase them. Sizes tend to get mismarked in these stores, and some brands may not fit the same as others. Aside from that, some manufacturers offload styles that may not sell well at higher end stores.

*Department Stores: While you would never want to pay full price for your bras at a department store, you can find exceptional deals on the clearance rack, particularly around festive times of year. Retailers make a point to thin out their regular merchandise around the holidays, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day. Why, you ask? Because they want people to buy seasonal lingerie that is more expensive. Skip the sales pitch and head straight for the discount section to find all sorts of cheap bras that will work perfectly for you.

*Lingerie Specialty Stores: You probably wouldn't want to become a regular customer, but most lingerie specialty stores like Victoria Secret have annual sales events. Get on the mailing list so you can receive extra coupons, and make your way to the mall during their extra discounted sale days. Make a point to try on the styles you like, and then ask if there are extra discounts for shopping online. You might be pleasantly surprised when you discover that you can get a $50 brassiere for about one fourth of the price. Now that's one cheap bra you really will take extra care of and follow all the care instructions to the letter.

Today's world is filled with bargains. There is absolutely no reason women should accept paying so much for their personal undergarments, especially if they really need them. The reality is, women can find ways to buy good cheap bras. All they need to know is where and when to shop for them.
